On a Deserted Island
On a deserted island, you say?
This is an easy one I think
Human beings are out of the question.
Because I can't choose just one.
How about pets?
They can't communicate in a way that's immediately meaningful.
So they're off the list too.
With these first choices eliminated, what else is there?
I think a solar powered computer will suffice.
And a machine that produces endless ethernet
Then I could talk to any person or pet that I wanted.
No wireless please!
because wi-fi can be finicky at times.
But then again, so can I.
