Deserted Island Solution

Stuck on an island is a terrible thought

although not as bad as a flood or a drought

that being said, I'd probably be dead

If I was stranded on an island with only my head.

I would be initially hateful

but eventually grateful

for the option of bringing one thing.

After lots of twisting and turning in my brain

I finally realized the answer was quite plain!

What a silly game to play, why should I stay

I could simply bring a boat and float on away!

When the question was first asked 

I realized it was simply masked 

as a look at my personal values.

In the spirit of my own, I chose to ignore it

And make a joke

hopefully I get something for it!
