Desire

Jeremiah 29:11-13 11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I desire to love I desire to be loved Do I hold the plans for my future No, they come from above We spend our life thinking We spend our life planning But when our life ship goes down All we see is life sinking In all things I tried But then I gave up I threw in the towel My plans died I musta forgot the one higher than I; You see I was trying to make things happen Because I thought I was all that I have friends who encouraged me with the word of God They cried with me, they prayed with me They could only do so much It was now my turn…I had to be bold I prayed for peace, I prayed for wisdom I prayed for understanding, I prayed for strength I prayed for comfort, I prayed for my life. Not to just see another day, but to have all that and then some. Then some…what does that mean? Then some…means rest, Then some….means grace Then some….means forgiveness, Then some…means guidance Then some…means direction, then some means patience I realized I could have all that if I would just seek His face. I have to stay trusting, despite what it may seem God is faithful, His grace is sufficient I have to keep living, In spite of my trials God knows my future, He knows all things Nothing is in my control I must wait for Him He knows the plans, He wants to prosper me, He gives me a future, In him I have hope I desire to love I desire to be loved Do I hold the plans for my future NO…they all come from above.
