Desire and Cinema

Screams and squeals of excitement and fear decorate the dark room The music swells and some directors nightmare jumps with an echoing boom Ghosts and Murderers lurk close enough to hear my heart pump Yet later I sleep calmly in the dark, a smooth ride into unconsciousness without a bump I’m not brave because I’m not scared of some simulated horrific inferno I watch horror movies for the same reason I watch porno Humans watch what we desire, whether it is a lover or to be dead So praying for my untimely massacre is no different than wanting head
