Desires

The most meaningful thing to me

is what every man pursues

It is what binds us to the belief

that if we do certain things,

we can achieve it

But when we achieve it,

we will be yearning for more

for it satisfies us too much

that we'll have a burning desire

to possess it for enternity

The thirst to secure it

is why we lust to have wonderful things like

money, fame, love, friends, and praise

It is also why we aim to please those who expect

like our demanding family

This "it" that all men crave for

is one thing

that requires so other many things

in order to be attained

This "it" is what I desire

for it can only be satisfied

when I have achieved so much

This "it" is what I believe

to be the most meaningful thing to me

This "it" is happiness
