Desolation

choked in the desert of desolation,

she watched him leave.

he took everything.

leaving her with the clothes on her back and her heart in her hands.

all alone, choking on sobs that seem to never stop.

“i’ll always be here.” he said.

“i’ll never lie to you.” he said.

two simple sentence, both lies.

he himself, was deceitful, a liar and a cheater.

yet she cries as he leaves her with one final goodbye.

“you left, and i’m sad to say goodbye.” she said.

“you tore me apart, and broke me down. just for fun.” she said

he walked away, never looking back and she just sat and stared.

wallowing in despair.

desolate.

lonely.

broken.

so many words can explain her now.

none are happy, or joyful only painful.

“i guess i should say sorry huh ?” he said

not even one bit sorry.

not even any regret.

no guilt.

just heartless..

so she took her heart and hid it.

so no one would ever break it again, only she knows where it lies.

she will never know that pain again.

lowercase intended
