Desolation

Desolate-

lost and alone.

I retreat to the dark recesses of my mind.

Disquisitive,

scrupulously searching for

some cognizance that I was ever

once wanted and loved.

A haze hangs heavy over my minds eye,

blinded and distorted by the phantom tears -

there was no one.

Tumultuous life of chaos and discord!

To repudiate my family -

a salvation for me.

But you - to renounce you..

blunt nails shredding my skin,

drawing and quartering me!

Total annihalation.

Now mournful and despondent,

knowing love is obsolete,

I crumple inside myself -

contemplating life.
