Despite it All..

We were happy.

I thought loved you with my entire heart and soul.

I thought you loved me in the same way.

I thought we would be together forever.

I thought. That was the problem.

You deceived me in the worst way possible.

You made me believe that you loved me too.

Now all I am is angry.

Angry at you for lying to me.

Angry at myself for believing it all.

Angry at you for breaking my heart.

Angry at myself for allowing you to have such an effect on me.

But despite it all,

Now I am happy.

Happy with myself and where my life has led me.

Happy with my new person.

But there will always be a part of me

That wants you and only you.

I miss you with all my heart.

But I can't allow myself to feel this way anymore.

Because all you do is hurt me.

And I love myself too much to allow myself to feel the way you make me feel.

So despite it all,

I have moved on.

And I will be happy from now on.
