Destiny

When I say Destiny

I don't mean the wheel that's turning

Or the fire that's burning.

I speak of a lovely girl

From a terrible world.

Restless nights,

Overheard fights

Is what she lives through,

But she still remains strong.

I wish to take her from those sights

And do what I believe is right

To remake her bitter life

Into one of only sweetness.

This isn't only for her,

It is also for me.

For I need her in my life.

She drives my darkness away

And makes me want to stay.

It is my job to stay strong for her.
