Destiny

I don't believe in destiny

There isn't some prophecy

On a cave wall written about me

No one said I would the savior

That I would never waiver

I wasn't told to be Hercules

Plato and Aristotle never wrote about me

Never spoke about me

Never said how great I'd be

I'm not the thoughts of Shakespeare

I won't shake this sphere

We call home

In all my lack of greatness

I’m the sweetness of simplicity

The summer highs

kites flying in the sky

I'm summer drives

With the radio turned up

As we cruise down i-35

Trying to forget we’re almost grown up

I take my days one at a time

Hoping to not get lost in the motion

To be the notion of being small

And all n all

This is my destiny

My little prophecy

Written on cave walls at the Beginning of it all
