Destiny Showed Up
You just don't seem to care
But you'll never forget
The memories we share
Ones like the day we met
Standing by the river
Waiting for time to fly
I made an encounter
I really don't know why
There is only passion
That defies my reason
I know we were set up
When Destiny showed up
Although I thought I knew
What love was all about
I knew when I found you
That I didn't want out
Here you were waiting for
A date who didn't come
Lucky I got a tour
Of your eyes I call home
A dress and a wedding
A bouquet and a ring
A couple years later
Adopted a daughter
But now that sparkle's gone
You know it too, come on
Our love started to rust
It nearly turned to dust
The flame that was growing
In me, is now fading
The love I had for you
Has left my heart, yours too
