Destiny's Deceit
Through never-ending steel blue skies
And twirled in a ribbon of fate
A lullaby sings out to the world
One that beckons me as I run under these boundless stars
All my life takes flight before me as fate speeds behind me
Every unfortunate event, every desolate sky
That grows heavier and heavier
As my body and mind become ever weary
For ever burden was an untold story
Becoming a weight of anxiety I forged for myself
But destiny calls ever louder,
Her voice like needles, sticking in the back of my neck
As her lullaby rings, calling me to my fate
A sweet melody tempting me into her seemingly warm gaze
And as inevitable as fate, her tune tricked me as I fell into her darkness
Wrapped in black, her melody rings
Dragging my mind into a blur of memories and emotions
But just as death can be cheated, as can destiny
Breaking away from her darkness, and escaping this siren
Following the stars, as they aid my escape
Destiny's lullaby forever ringing in my ears
Even under the stars, crying myself to sleep
Her voice will always echo through my mind
