Destroy and Deplete

 We destroy and deplete

We so caught up in conceit

We tear down the protective armor around our hearts

only to tear at each other

Breaking pieces after piece

Remember the fall breeze

The day you got down on one knee

Now words are like weapons

We gear up on painful truths and bitter lies

We both refuse to lose those fights

We lost our sight

We cross-examined of why we just can't say goodbye

Remember the fall breeze

When you said you were in love with me

There for each others toughest days

The days addiction could take family away

Stayed on line for hours telling me everything will ok

The days addiction could take the childhood home away

Stayed on the line for hours telling you everything will be ok.

We no longer exist now it’s you and me.

You went left

I went right

We destroyed and depleted till nothing was left.
