Destroy Me

After all you’ve put me through,

After all the “I love you’s” that you threw,

I’ve finally decided:

Destroy me.

Try if you dare.

You’ve been doing so anyways; might as well go all the way.

Wreck my walls, make me fall so far down that my legs tremble when I try to stand back up.

You’ve done it before; might as well do it again.

End me.

Make it so that every time I hear someone utter your name, my mind immediately traces back to a time when we were together,

And it wretches the soul out of my chest.

Kick me into the dirt, indirectly trample on my feelings,

Cheat and say that you were wrong

When you don’t really think that; you just want me to shut up..

Lie to my face with a simple “I’ll never do it again”

And a nimble “I love you”, followed with a peck to the cheek.

You’ve watched me grovel on the ground, so keep going.

End me, so that you'll never expect to see me again.

Because I know that if you do,

You'll be baffled when you DO see me, alive and better than ever.

You’ll be shocked when you see me rise up, my soul no longer tattered by your disgusting lies,

And false claims of love.

The tears streaming down my face have dried up.

I am not your play thing.

I am not something to pass time with.

What you gave me was not love,

And it will never be love.

Test me.

Destroy me.

And I'll destroy you.
