Destruction

A blossomed flower

Destroyed by the rain

A flooded shower

Caused so much pain

Now there is no flower

The world is no longer sain

Oh, look at the hour

Upon the great bell tower

Time is lost

But at what cost?

The flower brought peace

The flower was a niece

A young girl full of joy

Fell in love with a boy

The boy held the power

As well as a dagger

And now you know of the flower and the rain

Please do understand what I am trying to say

Hello,

I got inspired to write this poem from the idea of love/breakups. It is a poem about a non-functional relationship, that ends up with the boy breaking up with the girl; it completely breaks her and turns her into a sad, depressed girl who doesn't see the point of living without her loved one. For the average person, this poem sounds dark, and confusing. That was the point.

Hope you like it!!
