It's the little things that plague my mind.

Like the way your eyes crinkle when you smile

or the way you laugh after a bad joke.

The way your hand fit perfectly in mine

like the missing piece of a puzzle.

How I felt with your arms

wrapped around me.

Even down to the freckles

spread across the bridge of your nose.

The thing that plagues

my mind the most?

The night you hugged me

one last time,

and left me on the front porch

with only goodbye.
