DETERMINATION
Mother don’t you cry I will be away, but not for long.
Remember the time when I was nine I used to play with army toys until dawn.
All the time I spent at the fields I never wanted to leave until ten.
I turned to her eyes and said Mother, when are we going to the park again?
It’s time for me to make my dreams reality
Mother, don’t let more tears go down your cheeks.
My time has come to show my ability
Overseas I should go and return within weeks.
Not long, until my farewell I know that time is running out.
Mother I hope you realize things will go well I will be home soon without a doubt.
My mission would not be easy Water would move my vessel from side to side.
"Salute Father" why did you time came in a jiffy?
In every battle, I will always keep you by my side.
War has always being tough I remember carrying my gun into the woods.
Next thing I remember, I fell on the ground full of dust
A rescue crew came to my aid, but I only saw the eyes of my mother.
I can only hear the sound of my mother Asking me if I was ok.
I turned to my mother and said Don’t worry we will meet another day.
