The Determined Chef

Cutting, prepping, cooking;
All these things and more are done.
Bruising, harming, hurting;
All the sacrifices made to appease others
Fatigue, soreness, aching;
Are the daily payments for the days’ work.
By the end of the day
Despite it all
The chef can still look towards tomorrow
Determined to push on and do better.
That is the determined chef.
