Determined Growth

Oh, to be a tuft of grass,

Stomped down by musty boots

Oh, to be a tuft of grass,

Smothered in asphalt and concrete

Oh, to be a tuft of grass,

Shredded by a John Deere Zero-Turn Riding Lawn Mower

But

The grass always grows back

So who am I

To remain fallen

When even a tuft of grass

Can rise back up
