DETRIMENTAL VS. TREASURED

You never try to make time for me

You intimidate me

You never listen or talk to me

You criticize me

You are never honest with me

You wound me

You always expect perfection from me

You discourage me

You are always trying to hurt me

You disappoint me

You have no patience with me

You patronize me

You try to control all aspects of me

You distrust me

You blame everything on me

Why do you do these things?

You say, “Because I love you.”

I do not believe you.

This is NOT love.

You have always been there for me

You protect me

You always try to communicate with me

You compliment me

You are always candid with me

You heal me

You allow me to be me

You embolden me

You always attempt to soothe me

You appreciate me

You always have forbearance with me

You support me

You never try to manipulate me

You trust me

You share the responsibility with me

Why do you do these things?

You say, “Because I love you.”

I believe you.

This IS love.
