The Devil Has A Child
The devil has a child,
She has eyes that are darkened from lack of faith.
Who's smile no longer reaches her eyes
She is afraid of heights from all of the times she fell for the wrong guy.
Who's mind is filled with dark spots.
She begs for dreams but receives nightmares
Who wonders why she was ever born.
She keeps her distance for fear of hurting someone
Who struggles to keep her heart beating.
She has a daily battle with the demons in her mind
Who wonders if she'll even make it to 25,
She has let a boy kiss her lips and a razor kiss her wrist
Who doesn't know her sins aren't her fault.
The devil has a child
And the devil's child is me.
