The Devil Inside

As I lay here,

Confused and hurt and lost...

My wonderland, drained from my thoughts.

The day has ended,

And Night clocks in.

The Devil's kingdom has struck again.

Her last words spoken,

Her deeds all done.

The fight is lost and no one won.

The Devil takes his prize,

And pulls her farther down.

She never had a dying chance.

She never could have won.
