The Devil In Me
What do you do when the devil becomes a part of you?
Do you cringe in fear?
Smile in the face of danger?
Or do you simply give in?
Do you remain forever in the dark,
Waiting for an angel to rescue you
Can you be rescued?
You’re forevermore frozen in darkness
There’s no hope for you
He has you, and there is nothing you can do
You gave in
Whether you want to believe it or not, you gave in
Your life belongs to him now
No hesitation
No restraints
Just pain
You did this to yourself
You were scared,
Lonely,
And desperate
Your vulnerability made it so damn easy
And now, you shall forever see that monster within you
You’re no longer in control
You’re just another host for the true master
He’ll just leave you screaming in the dark, wishing he’d come back
He consumed everything in you
Your smile,
Your will to live,
And your heart
He’s the only one that an fill the void in your soul that he created
All you want is to be whole again,
A chance to prove me wrong
And take back control
But baby, you’re dead
And he’s never coming back to right any wrongs
Who’s going to slay the dragon now?
Will it be you?
Are you our Arthur?
Or our David?
Will you slay the beasts?
Or will you just be another victim?
Don’t be fooled by his charm
He’ll kill you before you can say “Hi”
Then you’ll be one of us,
Just another trophy to brag about
Long live the master
Long live the king
*whisper* Slay our beast
