Devil wants my soul

The devil wanted my soul, he would always tell me "Joe"

"Of your spirit I need some more so turn it in as a whole"

My answer was always "no" regardless him getting pist

I granted the devil's wish but ended up taking his

"This is it" he said "I'll burn you" and I replied with a smile

"How you gonna burn someone who's already on fire?"

My soul pertains to God and giving it is wrong to do

I won't let you take what doesn't belong to you

God gave me this talent only he can take it away

So say what you gotta say but my skills are here to stay

Till the day that I display I no longer write the same

Till I no longer maintain creativity in my brain

And that's all that remains, I just just assume it in my journal

Cause maybe what God gave me can happen to be eternal

I don't know for sure, it's all up to the man

So I'm gonna use the fu** out this talent while I still can

My skills are like a ghost, they float and stay untrackable

Inflicting fear on others maintaining me untouchable

No EVP, will detect me, or let you see

The misery, or evil creed, that I can be

A nightmare to these poets I'll haunt them in the afterlife

Leave em all traumatized I manifest like a poltrageist

This feels like no challenge perhaps too much talent

My lyrics stay mean like I'm searching the average

Blow poets to fragments without any acid

Stay the reactant to this chemical balance

You don't have to be a fraction for me to split you to eights

I'm chopping so much there's limbs all over the place

I write material that will serve you temptation

All my lines connect and get to the point like a constallation

I woke up at about 4:59 in the morning

Saw a grey demon next to me terrorizing the moment

So I pulled out my .45 from underneath my bed

Put the glock on it's neck and told it not to come again

Then it took me for a trip to hell but I went and took the throne

Looked at the devil and asked "You want this to be my home?"

"Send me here and I'll slap you out the seat and put out your flames"

"So go apologize to God and tell him you need a place to stay"

Then I woke up and I felt Jesus, he had something to tell

Told me "Joe from now on behave cause you just got banned from hell"

I said "Okay boss I will, just keep me within your reach"

He said "I'll always will just continue doing my deeds"

Now I just stay with the lead rubbing against my notebook

Writting the things I've witnessed, trying to stay noble

Keeping my faith keeping my ways tryna pertain

Tryna obtain a more humane life to sustain

The Devil constantly on my back, tryna purchase my soul

Offering me gold and fame in exchange to obtain my ghost

But the doors to the store have for years now been closed

I gave Jesus my spirit a hundred offerings ago.

The imagery was excellent in this piece and brought everyone who read it along with you on this ride of visions from the demons to devils and Jesus. There are a few things that can be fixed by a quick once over but it doesn't take away from the hard work you put into it. Thank you so much for sending this in.

Becca.
