The Devilish Thoughts Inside Me

The strength inside

to hold them back

impresses me

but scares me.

How have I not rotted

from inside to out?

Plagued for years, I have learned,

through trial and error,

that to make it out alive:

one must build them self up;

start slowly from scratch

one must learn from experience;

wrong choices are made every day

one must adapt to change;

some things are beyond our control

Motivation must not be forgotten

for it is the only independent variable

within humanities grasp

Motivation is life

because without it

I

would

simply

vanish
