The Devil's Dance

The devil came out of him
dancing beneath the red moon
leading his favorite victims
Singing his favorite songs

He danced with the women.
A beautiful face never seen before
The golden skin reflecting off the flames
her eyes could burnish gold.

With arms held and fingers touching
she spun a little dance
round and round they both danced
spinning heat out of the fire.

With hair as black as a crow
and eyes like the deep blue sea
Flashing more color on the moon
She caught the devil on his knees.

I saw his cleft hooves a'shining
his tail swinging side to side
in the moon blush LUST was pining
when he took the hand of pride.

He danced with glee her victory dance
as abandon swayed her form
she grew taller before my eyes
six inches above her norm.

I saw her eyes were fixed on him
as she danced in his fires light
then he flashed a devilish grin
and she faded from my sight.

They danced and danced, unsatisfied
storm clouds took shape overhead
beautiful tempting fulfillment
sharing nothing but regret.

But the devil prized her beauty
that could take both life and soul
lethal her steps from slow to fast
when the devil took control.
