Devoid

What does love look like? In a world full of masks and misery: How can love exist? Sparks bouncing between people: Is that love? If it lasts only a moment, does it count? Selfless acts performed by the ordinary: Is that love? Most boggling is happiness Often buried by distractions, hidden in undertones. Elusive. Love and misery seem as one. People showing great generosity often originate from the pain of experience. Is it worth it? When happy moments no longer light memories, When the present brings only emptiness. How does one find the love?

I'll be sure to write another melodramatic poem about it if I find out. :)
