devourment of self

The feeling gnaws and claws

On the inside

Attacking any thought

That might contradict

What it whispers

And the attempt never ceases

To reason

To shoo it away

It settles in the belly

Like an agitated cat

It consumes and transforms

Any hope into despair

And leaves

Nothing but a world

Blue-green
