Dexter

no matter how much bleach i use

the blood stains won’t go away

i’m scrubbing and scrubbing the floorboards

the wood turned cherry

my hands calloused from the circles

but i keep scrubbing

i keep pouring out more and more

i’m begging for it to begin to disappear,

just like you did,

so i can stop being reminded

of how little you fucking cared.
