dialectic process

Just tell me when I’ll see you again…
The girl with a smile
and broken jeans
You told me you’ll return to me
unchanged
and just as free.
but your eyes tell a different story.
of pain
and of grief
So it’s not a change in your exterior….
not clothes
or jewelry
But a change in your interior
rejection
or defeat
Your travels must’ve changed you
not you
nor me.
