Diamond in the Rough

The gleaming days of happiness never last.
For the higher you feel the harder you fall into the darkness.
Darkness where you're unwanted and continuously broken despite your hope.
There will come a day tho were the luminosity that once faded will grow to a blinding intensity.
Drowning out the darkness that has almost suffocated me,
consumed me.
For it takes a truly unique person to take all of the darkness and wear it proudly.
I wear my suffering proudly for I have become something truly beautiful.
I have become a diamond:
A diamond in the rough.
