A Diamond in the Sea of Fire

A Diamond in the Sea of Fire

Amber Clark

Its the everyday struggle, the everyday climb

Pulling me down against the raging tides.

I just want to succeed, I just want to find

My purpose in life, my purpose for now

Cant you see that, cant you hear me now

No?

You hear the words of those around you

"Shes okay. Look at me. Look at me."

I know you try. I know you think your

"Doing the Right Thing"

But,

I'm not okay. I'm not fine.

Look at me for once.

Doesn't the little person counts.

I'm not a dog, I'm not weird.

I'm a person. And I have feelings too.

You think your doing the right thing

By leaving me to fend for my self.

But your wrong.

I give up on trying

I give up on fighting.

They win.

I am a diamond among the rough

Swimming in a sea of fire

But you'll never see that

Because you never took the time to pick me up and dust me off

Yeah, you'll never know what I can become.

I'm a Diamond

You left to drown in the Fire.

But as long as your "trying"

I guess no one can put you to blame.
