Diamonds in the Rough


our demons dance within us, 
we are a beautiful disaster. 
a ticking time bomb.
an insecure,
prideful,
broken,
anxiety driven,
emotional shipwreck, 
heart broken, scared, with flaws & all.
we are a beautiful disaster.
this maybe so, but
Lord knows he is my sanity, since the very beginning.
two years, 
two long, crazy, rough years it has taken him
to realize we were each other's safe haven.
Together we are a better version of ourselves,
we keep each other sane.
i pray we stay,
diamonds in the rough. 
red-hot splashes, pressure, and precious time to create a one of kind stone.
a beautiful beautiful disaster, 
just like him and i
