Diary Of A Dead Man

We know the pain of the past,

It hurts like when you grow

Slow yet so fast.

Letters spill from your mouth,

Spelling out lies.

Your mind saying everything will be fine.

Every word is just in your imagination.

You wonder if everything is a hallucination.

Just close your eyes

Today's a new day

But I guess I'm going home anyway

My cries drowned out in this ongoing war

I think you've won but who's keeping score?

I watch as your heart it slowly breaks

You can have mine it's yours to take

You wonder if you're making a huge mistake

You better pray to God for your own sake
