Did I lose something?

I had a million reason to walk away I just couldn’t see them when I did .

You slipped through my fingers. The after feeling continues to hit like

a hurricane. What was it? Personal gain? Ego? Loneliness? Desperation?

maybe just maybe it was all the above. Your twisted brain played my tunes

thinking I wouldn’t understand the lyrics. Your plans weren’t that smart

but yet I couldn’t see them from the start. That simple look of yours made

every lie you’ve told seem like an illusion. These may seem like assumptions

but I can’t help to think that you were lying from the start. Trust me you weren’t

prepared for that broken heart. How miserable you must’ve felt do you still feel

it now? Are you filled with hatred, torture or revenge? Or can you simple not

remember the time we sat on the bench? Do you stand cold or do you laugh when

you hear my name thinking I was a big joke? Was I worth your while?

Did I fill your ghost?  Get that paper away from me! I’m not making your

own book. I’m not a fool when it comes to pitiful stories.
