did you ever care?

Because I love you.

I want your dreams to come true.

Because I love you.

I talk to you everyday, through fights and bad moods.

Because I love you.

I joined a club that made everyone judge me and tease me.

Because I love you.

I complimented you whenever you did something different to your appearance- because I knew you were scared to try it.

Because I love you.

I trusted you to keep to your word, when you said you would stay by my side instead of hers.

But because I love me.

I stopped trying to talk to you when all you did was make me feel like I was stupid.

Because I love me.

I found new friends and new people to distract myself from the glares that girl and you sent me.

Because I love you.

I tried to see it from your point of view and could only see how you used me and hated me.

Because I love me.

I am letting myself be the person you judged me for being.

And it's the best thing I've ever done.
