Did You Know?
As you lecture, she's talking up a storm.
It's hard not to speak,
It says so, on her special form.
Wasn't long 'til you reached your peak.
"That's it! Detention!"
But, did you know?
It's not her fault she can't pay attention.
She forgot her ID again.
As you spot her without it,
You wonder how this can always happen.
You shout, "Detention!" once more,
She had barely even gotten through the door.
At forgetting, we all know she's the best,
But, did you know?
She's not like the rest.
She's special and one of a kind,
But to that, you pay no mind.
To you, only all her flaws come out,
And only mean thoughts come about.
All you see is a walking disaster,
But, did you know?
That's my sister.
Did you know?
She's the most remarkable person I've ever met.
No, you didn't know that, I bet.
Did you know?
She tries harder than anyone else out there.
No, because you simply just don't care.
She is trying with all her might,
She is giving you all she has to show.
To take that from her, you have no right.
No right at all.
Because you don't know.
