Did You Notice?

Times change and people do too,

I didn’t believe it when they said you knew

You knew I was growing and still didn’t call

Times change and people start to fall

It’s fine, I said, after all its just blood

But blood runs deep, and here comes the flood

The flood of envy that fill the whole room

To be close with your loved ones and watch them bloom

To grow into people they dreamed they would be

their home just as comforting as a bird in a tree

With smiles and love for miles on end

But after all, its just blood, right? like its from a friend
