THE DIED OF WORDS

I keep talking

about something

or the other

all the time

Unwanted words

mingle in the air

with necessary words

Words from the Wisdom Tree

wander in search

of enlightenment

Penance of the eyes

broken by words of desire

I traverse the streets

By words that reign

I become the king

Words of pride

steal the moment

to spit

Pathetic words

look as they pass by

While words of sin

assemble crosses

words of cunning

dig ditches

Only these words

remained

at the grave

"He died of words"
