The Difference.
I buy you flowers and take you on dates,
Because I love you.
I hug you and shield you from the hate,
Because I love you.
I tuck you into bed and kiss you goodnight,
Because I love you.
Whenever you're far away I miss you,
Because I love you.
You smack me across the face and call me a whore,
Because you love me?
You shove my body into the door,
Because you love me?
You interrogate me like i’m a bad child,
Because you love me?
You start acting wild- like an off the walls mule,
Because you love me?
I call bull,
Because, do you love me?
You slap me and tell me it's my fault,
But that's not love.
You yell in my face and call me a bitch,
But that's not love.
I tell you goodbye and I’m not coming back;
Because, I love you,
And, because you don’t love me.
