Difference
A trench raid
Germans rushing French
Fighting in the mud
Like rabid animals
Desperate and ruthless
Full of emotion
A French soldier stabs a German
A vengeful comrade clubs him
Their bodies fall on top of each other
The same scene repeats with the nationalities reversed
But two weeks later
A German soldier stabs a Frenchmen
A vengeful comrade clubs him
Their bodies fall on top of each other
And as blood soaks into the ground
The only difference between these men
Is the now stained color of their coat
