The Difference
So my sisters, you say you can't stand me cause my skin is too light.
Or maybe the fact it's too dark
Being judge by my shade in your eyes,
But in my eyes what's the difference?
The social ignorance we all seem to possess
Constantly eats at our cultures assets.
The shade of the past now leads the present.
Can anybody take a stand and make the difference?
People preach on empowerment of each
But we contantly put down what is not beauty to thee.
Society perceives and that becomes and overpowering belief
Can we make the difference?
