Different
I used to think people with depression were crazy,
and that I would never be that because thats dumb.
I know Im happy and being sad is so boring,
Ill always be happy.
Ill always be happy.
As I grow up,
things are different.
In high school I was happy,
most of the time.
I would be really happy for awhile,
loving life and just being happy I was alive.
But now I get sad,
And not just regular sad.
I now am one of those people from Line 1 of this poem,
and I just can't figure out why.
I have friends and a great family,
and Im going to a good school.
I should be happy.
I should be,
but I just can’t.
Sometimes I think about just taking my own life,
Just to show how life is something we take too seriously.
I think about how I would do it,
and how my friends and family would react.
I think about all the people Ive only talked to a couple times,
Commenting “rip"and ï love you’.
I just want to tell them shut the fuck up,
you don't know me and you just want attention.
Im hurting inside and I cant shake these demons,
they grow inside me and take over my body like roots from a tree.
They take over everything and I lose control,
If i were to pull the trigger it would be because the roots took over my hand.
I need to stop thinking about it,
Because after time the idea starts to sound good.
The idea of killing myself starts to sound good,
why does it sound good?
I'm happy,
Right?
