Different

I was only 10 years old

and with the promise of disneyland

I had no reservations about the USA

After all this all seemed so bland

We got on a plane from Colombia

Only i didnt know America would be my new home

We soon arrived in Missouri

before reciding in Saint Louis we sure roamed

My brother and I soon started school

we were different and everyone knew

Spanish is what we spoke and kids were very cruel

English was hard and kids laughing was worse

My brother and I came home crying everyday for a month

Mom would cry as well, she went from a very prostegious job

to a dishwasher at a restaurant, life was hard but we stuck by

Not too much time passed until my mother met my stepdad Rob

Life started to look up soon after that

My brother mom and I learned english

well enough to get by
