Different

Different To be separate or distinct or not alike in character Now this is just according to dictionary.com so let me explain where I'm coming from If we're all characters, Then I'm definitely different I can't spend hundreds on a blouse or a dress cause 1) I ain't got it like that and 2) I'm frugal so I think it's reckless I don't understand the appeal of Patagonia A couple North Faces and I'm set for Estonia I laugh at Hunter boots cause I believe in tennis shoes To my mom, Sofees aren't the buzz so she'll say, "Where you think you goin' in daisy dukes? You got real clothes you can choose!" I'm distinct because I see the big picture There's more to life than WayPay and the Buckhead Bubble Venture outside the perimeter one day and you won't find trouble just new faces and places that Georgia encases Everything unfamiliar isn't the hood Trek to Bankhead and you'll get the difference for good Honestly, I can do without the South and all I don't have an accent or follow SEC football As long as I have Chick-Fil-A, I'm good and I'll be on my way I've always been separate Ever since Day 1, over 18 years ago Never had to go by my last last name like the 5 Sara(h)'s or the 6 Carolines When you start off different, the real question is: do you want to stay that way? Well, yeah!! As much as I love Lizzie McGuire, I'm not really concerned with fitting in because I like my life in the margin I don't wanna be gawked at like KaFol or be regarded as a joke like Tol I don't care if you can't figure me out because that's not what I'm really about My parents may have dropped the ball a lot, but from those 18 years, here's what I've got Stay away from materialism Cliques turn into imperialism Since I've never vacationed at Seaside, just know that I staycationed with great pride Dare to think beyond Georgia and Bama Because the world is a panorama At the end of the day, what impressive: me selling out or being progressive?
