Different

I sit and write this poetry

Just writing what I know is me

As I shake and cringe at what I write

I'm reminded of that stupid sight

To be scared of all I see

Because of all the lies you said to me

The dreams I try and play

Better than to slave of way

I bolt up from my bed at night

Hold onto sanity and the hope of light

To creep and moan away the fear

Scared that you're still here

The day won't stop being lived

Thought I tried to forget and I still forgived

But the weight will not leave my eyes

The shit that happened and replays the lies

I ask and plead for it to gone

But God hasn't let me see the dawn

It's just one day

The last I pray

He did it

And I would have died

Yet he holds the key

To why I survived.
