Different

Things are different now,

The tides have turned,

The winds have grown,

The moonlight has passed,

And clouds take over the sky;

Things are different now,

We’re more awkward,

More shy,

More afraid to say what’s on our mind;

Things are different now,

We’re worse off than we were before,

There is more sorrow

And more bitter remorse;

Things are different now,

Our hearts have cracked,

Our hearts are broken;

Things are different now,

Can’t you tell,

Can’t you see?

Things are different now,

Nothing is better,

And all is worse;

Things are different now,

Because you chose to go on without me.

writers_gonna_write

I have been writing poetry for 5 years now and I have a collection of over 600 original poems I've made. I submitted a poem to Appelley Publishing and was published in the 2018 addition of their poetry book. I love to read and write, and I have a cat and a hamster.
