different boy
i wish you did move to
cupertino, california
like you said
you would last year,
so i wouldn't have to
see your
ragged, black jansport backpack
or your
huge, nike, musty shoes
walking down the hallway
with your new
stupid-ass friends.
i wish you
still had your braces
you look unfamiliar now
i don't like it.
that and your
stupid haircut.
i wish you'd kept
the one
i picked for you.
this one sucks.
i wish you didn't
go to my school,
because when i opened
up my yearbook
today the
first page i
flipped to was the
one with
your picture
God you look
stupid-
(fucking
great as hell)
and i don't like seeing
you because i
once knew a
different boy.
you're not the
same kind
boy
anymore.
and i don't really know
what to do
with that
