Different Kind of Death

Have you ever felt the ice fingers of a different kind of death?

It grips you tight and separates you from the world

Pointing out how different you are

And how badly you wish you weren’t

Each consumed by the dark feeling

Has a different way of trying to break free

Some seek revenge

Others but on a smiling fake mask

Many try to hide

Every person has felt this pain

Once or twice

It’s a thing called isolation

And it offers no protection
