Different Life

You seemed like a really sketchy dude. Reeked of tobacco and alcohol, seemed like you had nothing to do.

Asking for a dollar, telling me how you're so broke.
But wondered if he's cleaned out from drugs with all the stuff that he sold.
Telling me how you were hopping around, hitchhiking, like you were on a tour.
Honestly I didn't care, anticipating your rant how life is unfair.
But you really just needed someone to hear you out, in the time of rejection, assure you that somebody cared.
Felt so bad frowning upon you in my heart, when really you're a normal guy like me, just going through nightmares and pains that people can't see.
Issues with your mama and lingering pains. Wanting to get off but can't get off that train
Blazed world that's constantly burning you, I don't have the power to extinguish you.
But I'm praying and believing that Jesus can do it for you.
